I’m Joking Like a Nerd
After work, Justin and I started discussing patterns, and how the right search and replace equations can yield interesting (and new) combinations of data. We were both getting into it, and as we walked down the street – this young, really attractive woman walks by us, wearing red shoes. Justin staggers dramatically, and looks at me. He exclaims: "There’s nothing more attractive than a woman wearing a pair of red shoes!"
"Yeah," I say.
"Wait," I tell Justin, "You’re wrong."
I pause a bit.
I say: "A woman wearing nothing but a pair of red shoes."
Justin: "A woman, without clothes, with shoes that are red."
Me: "One or more women, without clothes, with shoes that are red."
I felt nerdier than I have in a long, long time (and that says a lot). And, truth be told, it felt good.
