Lunch at Las Palmas

After trying to other places for lunch (both closed), we ended up walking to North Ave and getting a table at Las Palmas. A nice coincidence… this location (formerly Feast), was where I ate my first official Chicago meal (with my parents) a long, long time ago. My first apartment is actually visible from the patio seating where we were, and right across the street.

Juliet and I got caught up on things a bit. Job talk, and how we were trying to fit writing back into our schedules. I got to hear some stories from her trip to Germany, and was hoping to hear about the restaurant that has my name. Unfortunately – she didn’t dine there. But I’m expecting a photograph.

Las Palmas was incredibly good, and more food than we could eat at one sitting. I meant to take pictures of the food, but just didn’t feel in the mood. Call me silly, but I felt a little awkward. Go figure. :)
