Dinner at Justin's

En route.

Dave and I talked a bit about his process, and how he goes about recording/manipulating sound. I asked a lot of questions, and hoped for some kind of tutorial at some future point. I mentioned wanting to do some projects akin to my pi10k experiment.

I forget the name of this collection, but he brought this out to read a few snippets about math and music.

Kristen told us about a piece she's going to be involved with, called Deadtech. From her descriptions, there was going to be multiple mediums and the whole "bodyslam style" is very intriguing.

Wait for it... wait for it...

Justin, serving it up.

We brought everything outside to the backyard, and had a great meal and some great talks, lounging around under the night sky. After eating, Kristen even showed us a few moves/techniques she's learned.

There ended up being an interesting debate on art and intent, towards the end of the night. Fun converastions, and definitely stuff I haven't really talked about in a while.

Hanging around inside.

I ended up on Justin's computer to look up Le Parkour, which was the first thing I thought of when Kristen was describing Deadtech.

Towards the end of the night, after Dave left, we listened to a few of his new songs (Damien Jurado covers, actually).

At the close of the night, I headed over to Inner Town Pub with Justin. But I was already so far into the night (with both food and booze), that I wasn't really able to hang out very long. The only shot, of any kind, that I took was this one (and I left shortly after).
