Dunphy's

Stopped downstairs for a drink after work with Justin. Ahhh, Dunphy's. There's something nice about not having to leave the building to get an after-work drink. Course, it helps that my building's the size of a friggin' city block.

Opie!

Bass and Justin, getting all goofy. Well, maybe it's just Justin getting goofy.

Intersting timing: tonight I reminded Bass of a picture I had taken of him, where he was licking a cookie. Almost exactly a year ago.

Bass and Renée, looking over her wedding photos. I just met Renée tonight, and found out she's been working at the salon next door. No wonder she looked so darn familiar.

Abe and Justin (damn, I didn't end up getting any good pics of Abe). Abe's one of the many talented sound guys at the Q101 station (Ned, Eric, Luv Cheese).

Get this. Remember all those prank phone calls you used to make as a kid? Do you have fifteen pound balls? Are your thighs really juicy? Fridge running? All that good stuff?

Abe does that. But the difference between him and you? He gets paid to do it.

Got to meet Tena while hanging out at Dunpy's. The two of us talked at some length about interior design, architecture, and Fangoria magazine.

Here's something cool: we talked a lot about the Winchester Mansion, and we both realized we shared a similar fascination for the structure (as well as the story). She had gone there as a kid and she mentioned having some souveniers from there at her parents' place; we made tentative plans to meet up after she got back.

Found out from Opie that Tena shoots a mean game of pool (and may even have her own pool cue). Guess this means that, next time I see her, I'll have to challenge her to a game.

Although, if memory serves... custom pool cues generally mean an ass-kicking.
