Audible Frequency

I bookmarked this site
about a month back, with the intention of returning and giving the mp3's a real listen. Well, tonight I went back and was really taken by some of the audio there (particularly the auctioneer entry from Attica, Indiana).

Cool stuff, and a really unique take on the whole blog setup. Sound is in the spotlight here, and the text/descriptions serve a supporting role.

What I dig about blogs is that, when you find a good one, it brings you into the moment. It recreates for you someone's perspective on a specific moment in time - how they view it, how they experience it. Words do a lot. Images do a lot. And sound, I'm finding, does an extraordinary amount.

Check out audiblefrequency.net. It'll make you want to buy a minidisc recorder.
