Majestic Bird

What is it about the city pigeon? Perched here, high atop a concrete marker, he looks across the wide expanse of Chicago as though the city were his dominion. Look at him up there: confident, aloof, superior.

A paragon of nobility, he seems to say “I am better than you all. Where you walk amongst the mud and the dust, I soar. The sky is my home, and the wind my companion….

and now if you’ll excuse me, I need to go find something to poop on.”
