On the Way Home

I walked up Damen and stopped in to Filter to grab a cup of coffee. There, at the trisection, I came across two guys working an incredibly ancient camera on a tripod.

I got talking with them, and learned that the camera they're using is a really old WWII camera (that uses 16mm film). On the left it's Jason and on the right is Victor (who was out just shooting for fun, just using the camera to use it).

They both didn't bat an eyelash at me asking to take their picture, and were incredibly friendly. It really wouldn't be a complete day unless I hustled the blog somehow. And so I ended up giving them the address to this place, and got their OK to use their pictures.

Here's a closeup of that sweet camera which, according to Jason, was "built like a tank." I'm really curious what they filmed today, both here at this intersection and elsewhere. I'm also curious what they'll done with all the film from their shoot - I bet it'll be neat, whatever it is they do with it.
