Our Lady of the Kennedy Expressway

Along Fullterton, looking in on where people have gathered. From here, it only looks like a handful of folks on the street.

Steph, standing near some street vendors who have set up shop nearby.

Walking closer, we started to realize how many people were actually crowded around the wall.

View from the back of the line.

As I was watching people go by, there were several who were visibly moved (and actively wiping tears from their eyes).

Closing in on the wall.

In addition to the line, there was a mass of people pressed up against some baracades, there to just view the apparation.

Digital cameras and video recorders all over the place.

Steph approaching the vision of the Virgin.

With all the candles and offerings at the base, this made reaching in to touch the wall a pretty tricky proposition.

The Virgin Mary? I was there and, even now... I don't really see it.

An incredible number of candles and offerings litter the ground in front of the wall.

View of the crowd, immediately after viewing the Virgin Mary. I hung around here for a bit, trying to catch some images of both the crowd and people touching the wall.

Some guy asked if I was with a newspaper. That made me feel sort of good. :)

As we stood back behind the crowd and tried to take everythign in, this guy approached us and asked about my camera. He was curious of any of my shots turned out, and the two of us fell to talking. His name is Tom, and Steph and I agreed to hang out with him in line for a second pass-through, so we could take his picture.

This one's for Tom as well. Note the earring.
