After hanging around the site a while, Steph and I headed up Fullerton, taking a stroll down Damen towards home. Along the way, I took a few photos, but my heart really wasn't into them. I mean - how do you follow up images of the Virgin Mary for god's sake?

I guess this is fitting.

As we were walking, we debated on what to do. We decided drinks were in order, and ended up walking down to see if Pontiac had a table free (this sign we saw near Lemmings).

After finding the outside area all full, we headed over to Nick's and sat out back in their patio area. Quick shot of Steph (and yes, in celebration of the apparition... I ordered a Bloody Mary).

Despite the fact that the Blue Line ROARS by there every 10 minutes, Steph and I had a blast hanging out and talking. We discussed religious faith, Jeannette Winterson, Gloria Naylor, train-hopping, superstition and tattoos. Really cool conversations, and we ended up talking the late afternoon into dusk.

We had several drinks, and quite honestly this was as much fun (if not more so) than walking around looking for the Virgin Mary. Tonight was a great bonding evening - tons of fun.
