Matt’s “Bag-O-Money Challenge”

Some of you may recognize this purple pillowcase. It is in fact, the same pillowcase as was displayed when Matt first brought in a crapton of change, many months ago.

Today, he appeared with a slightly smaller amount of coins, but we all went around placing guesses nonetheless.

These coins come from the laundry machines in the building that Matt purchased, some months back. It’s all quarters, so presumably the final amount will be in increments of 25 cents.

I felt that I had learned a lesson from the last time we did this, and attempted to grossly overestimate the amount that I believed to be in the bag. Everyone else bet rather conservatively, except for Matt (who guessed a hefty $70).
