The Horse Before the Mart

Seen outside the Mart, as part of the Artopolis event that took place last week. Mike was particularly taken with this piece, and asked me to grab a photograph of it.

Is this a Debra Butterfield? Must be. Every few years, a number of her pieces are on display at the Zolla Lieberman gallery. It is an amazing experience walking amongst these grand giants.

If it's not a Butterfield, someone's in trouble...

there's a lovely butterfield horse that i'm quite fond of in the sculpture gallery at the Walker in minneapolis. It's my favorite that i've seen.

Does she do anything but make horse sculptures?
