A Fun (and Delicious) Game Idea

Chris and I spent some time today hashing out a potential game to develop. We've had a bit of a lull at work, and so we came up with a few project ideas that we could tackle in the meanwhile.

Originally, it started as a game I had in mind to build myself. The functionality was something I was interested in, and so I offered it up knowing that everyone's skill combined would produce something better than what I could do solo.

Fast forward a few meetings and brainstorms, and we came up with a pretty strong framework, and a really exciting set of rules to play by. So far it's been me, Chris and Jane kicking things around - and just seeing a few (very generic) comps has gotten me very excited.

In order to visualize the game a bit better, Chris and I got some Skittles and M&M's (respectively), to populate the board. This is us, hard at work.

This was a ton of fun, and we got some great initial rules laid out. I can't wait to get my hands dirty with this thing, and to start building. I think this project is an excellent candidate for a more OOP-based approach - which is something I really need to practice. So this is going to be fun AND I get to learn something new. You can't really beat that.
