Batman Street Promotion: “I Believe in Harvey Dent”
On the way in to work today, Liz and I were walking down Jackson and spotted these guys standing right outside the side door to my building. At first, I wasn’t sure what the fuss was about, but the moment I heard the name Harvey Dent, I knew what was up.
On realizing it was a Batman-specific promotion, I got out my camera and caught a bit of video:
After grabbing some coffee, I circled back down to where the van was situated. On walking by, I took a few more photos and got handed a small flier.

There’s signage… and while the design is pretty decent, it looked like someone just slapped them onto the side of the vehicle.
That said, there were other giveaways that weren’t too shabby – stickers, fliers, buttons, and t-shirts too (Jane got one, I think).

I found out later that there were similar vans in multiple spots across the city/country, also promoting the film.
Knowing this was a Batman-related promotion was kind of cool. But in actuality, the event itself wasn’t all that remarkable. I just thought it was interesting that all of this commotion was taking place right outside my office building, literally a few steps away from our side door.
Ah, downtown Chicago. Never a dull moment.

Adam Fendelman here (the publisher of HollywoodChicago.com). I just found your Chicago blog. Keep up the great work!
