Robert Sapolksy: Stanford Lecture on Primate Sexuality

Several years back, I posted an enry about Robert Sapolksy and raved about his lectures on stress.
Before I get to his lecture on primate sexuality, I want to re-emphasize how wowed I was at his stress lectures, and how they drastically changed the way I look at my day to day. If you’ve not heard these talks, I can’t stress enough (see what I did there) how important they are. Here’s a taste from the PBS documentary that was made, based on his findings:
The talks/mp3s that I’m referring to should be available on the documentary site, located in the sidebar.
Seriously – well worth your time. If you’ve got a road trip coming up, or have a bit of a commute to/from work, definitely grab these talks and give them a listen. Eye opening stuff.
Via BoingBoing, I learned about an old (2002) Stanford lecture that he did on primate sexuality. So far, I’ve only been able to watch the first half of it, but I plan on returning to watch this in small segments.
It’s a pretty interesting lecture by a very knowledgeable (and good) speaker. I like how it feels very much like I’m just sitting in his class, hanging out.
The first few minutes of the video are general classroom/housekeeping stuff. After that though, there’s some pretty interesting stuff.
