The story of Kari Ferrell is a fascinating read, and something I just got sucked in to.
At the age of 22, Ferrell landed a job at Vice Magazine using a combination of her charm, knowledge of music, and prior experience working with GoldenVoice (the promotion company that puts on festivals like Coachella). Add in a sweet phoenix tattoo that spans the front of her chest, and she was an ideal candidate.
A few days and a Google search later, some new information came up. Ferrell was never employed by GoldenVoice. And she was on Salt Lake City's "Most Wanted" list for over $60,000 in outstanding warrants that include Forgery, Bad Checks and Theft.
Part of the fascination of this story is the backstory, from various friends and associates. But the other thing that amazes me is how much of her information is currently online, available and accessible. The power of the Google Search continues to amaze me.
