A Little Recovery, A Lotta Loafing

Spent most of today lazing. Partly from the copious amounts I threw down last night, and party in preparation for tomorrow. I'm heading in to work, and I'm thinking I want to go in super early. We've been in the process of giving one of our stations a complete overhaul, so we've been doing a ton of cleanup work. Alex has been pulled in to help, and has been freelancing for us from Green Bay. Technically, we're all telecommuting in some sense, as the site we're working on is for a station in New York.

This past week and a half, I've been feeling progressively more and more confident regarding my abilities. While I haven't been the fastest person in the world, I've ended each day feeling that I had covered a lot of ground. Consistent progress is what I'm saying. And the last few days in particular, it's felt really good. Alex, and I have been working on restyling most of the content. Ben's done several pages, as well as a lot of graphical work (and he's gonna spice up the main page Monday). Justin's been running patterns on all the photo pages, trying to get an immense amount of stuff organized and sifted.

We're slated to flip things Monday evening, and I can't wait. I'm proud of the work we've done, and I think the newer version is going to shine. Monday, most of the day will be polishing/refining/checking prior to that flip. And tomorrow? Tomorrow is the last hurrah, and I've got a big list of things to cover yet.

Maybe that's why I've been so motionless today. I expect it's going to be a long day for me tomorrow, so it feels like I've been trying to pack in an entire weekend into... well, today. :)

Tron 2.0: Screenshots

I heard about this game a long while ago, and got my hands on a copy a week or so back. Been playing it off and on, and the environment is absolutely gorgeous. I'm not crazy about the storyline, but... listen to me. Like I'm even paying any fucking attention to plot while I'm playing this thing. This is Tron!

Watching the opening sequence, I got scared thinking about where video games are going to be in the next ten (hell, five) years. The way this game opens up... it's better than a lot of movie intros I've seen. Seriously. Gameplay aside, I'm having a hell of a time just walking around the joint. If you liked the original movie, you'll love this game. Take a look:
