It's not the right word. "Cranking" suggests to me more like
I'm working at a very rapid rate, making speedy progress while I'm at
it. I need to find another word, something as pleasing to the tongue,
to describe working at a slow but steady rate, focused and systematically,
incrementally progressing. Grinding? Crunching? I need to think on this
one.
Today
has been all about work. I'm
using TextPad at work, and really like it a lot (although I'm cheating
now, and using Dreamweaver). I think I'm getting better at working strictly
with code - hence the slow but steady clip comment above. Everything's
not immediately accessible to me on first glance, but I think I'm improving.
Interesting tidbit: last night, I dreamed about code. It didn't make a
lick of sense to me, but I dreamed about it.
I
take this as a positive sign. Hopefully, one of these days, I'll dream
about code and it'll be crystal clear. And on that note, one
of these days I know I need to overhaul this blog and clean up all the
messiness.
But
not tonight.
I'm
pulling the sleep card yet again. I felt pretty good today, and want this
feeling again tomorrow. So it's an early night.

And in particular, another reason I love Phil and Anthony... who gave
me free copies of these:

I just about went apeshit when I found out I could just have 'em.

Now all I need is a TV and a DVD
player. ;) |
