The Schedule Is Difficult to Break

Last night, I was up until about 3 AM. I was more or less in this work mode, and I lost track of time. Today, I slept until about 1:30 PM. As much as I would like to return to a somewhat decent schedule, it seems like I'm slipping back into this late-night-work mode.

Phil's Birthday

Being one of his favorite haunts, Phil had his birthday this year at Cesar's. Last year, I went to his party at Diversy Bowl (and regret not taking pictures).

Cesar's has long been a favorite of Q101 folk, and this evening was no exception. I snapped a few pics right when I arrived. Almost everyone knows... if you're at Cesar's, plan for the night. Two margaritas will set you on your ass if you're not prepared.

Were I to make a chart, I don't think I've ever walked out the doors here sober. This place has a successful business model of getting its patrons fucked up. Cesar's is good at what they do.

Cesar's. The place to be.

If you've got it, flaunt it.

Left to right, this is Tom, Maggie, Charity and Jeff. Tomn and Jeff I first met at Mikey's bachelor party, a while back. On seeing one another, we all reminisced a great deal.

Charity is Phil's wife. And I've got to include this quote from her, which I overheard at one point in the evening:
Hey! Who's that SKANK talking to my husband?
If I *ever* find a woman like Charity, I'm going to die a happy man.

Tom and Phil, pausing to get caught up on old times.

Phil, offering up rounds of tequila. Cesar's has a history of this kind of behaviour.

So of course, I fold faster than Superman on Laundry Day.

John and I, throwing down some tequila. For the record, I didn't end up using the salt or lemon.

Group shot, left to right it's John, some random girl I don't know, and Jackie (who I just met). I think I made some half-ass attempt at talking with Jackie, but she didnt' seem very interested.

I ended up calling it a night somewhat early. There were a few more Q101 folk that I would have liked to have talked to more, but my impulse was to leave and get back home. While I wasn't as social as I would have liked, I'm happy I got out and was there to help Phil celebrate.

I had bigger plans of writing and getting some poems in order, but I may end up just trying to sleep instead (and get myself back on some kind of regular schedule).
