So Chelsea is out of town
for a few days, and I'm watching over her cat, Vince. I checked in on him yesterday, and plan to
pop by today and tomorrow.
I drove in to work today and, in the interest of saving some time, I decided to go check on him
during my lunch break. I was originally going to stop by after work... but I decided that I wanted
more time for my costume. So during lunch, I slipped out.

En route, I found this great Homer antena.

And some guys, working to finish a pretty big project.

Vince, cool cat that he is.
Yesterday, while he was happy to see me... he kept his distance. I think he sort of remembers me, but
he wasn't very keen on getting close. He'd follow me around a bit, but always moved to the other side
of the room and just watched me.
Today, he was a lot friendlier (I tend to think male cats are friendlier than female cats) and actually
let me pet him a bit more. He didn't curl up in my lap or anything, but he's definitely a lot more
comfortable with me than yesterday.

Looks to be some neat stuff coming up, particularly that whole alpha video thing.

Today, Justin let everyone know about
a grass-roots movement to help out the Muffin Lady.
For those who may not be familiar with her, she hits a lot of the local bars (Bucktown/Wicker Park) with
a small basket full of special muffins.
It's weird - you can never really predict when you
might see her. Sometimes, it's just sheer luck that she
happens to show up at the bar you're at.
A while back, Justin and I were at Danny's
for a few drinks. Right before I left, I saw the Muffin
Lady walk in the door, sans basket, just sort of there to hang out and enjoy the DJ (one of the guys
from Interpol was working the music that night).
Turns out, Justin ended up chatting with her a good long while. He found out a ton about her, but most striking
is that she was recently arrested. I don't recall all the specifics, but she was supposedly pulled over for
some nonexistant stop sign. And, when they searched her car, they weighed all the muffins she had and used
that total weight as part of the charges against her.
This afternoon, there was a call in from Fook, asking about
one of us making a t-shirt design. I think he's kicking around the idea of starting up a "Save the Muffin Lady" group,
and wanted to see if we could kick out a little something something.

Got this design from Ben. I'm pretty excited
by the look of it, and totally want a shirt of my own. Remember... you saw it here first!
