I got a nice present from Holly this morning, as a "thank-you" gift for my helping her move out of her
apartment tomorrow. Awesome!

Mike dropped this off on Chris' desk this morning. Tonight's
the night where the Red Sox have to win, or be eliminated. A lot of bean-eating is at stake here.

After attending Resfest last night, I was even more excited
to attend today's screening. Not only did Rey allow us to take time from the workday to attend, he also sported for
the tickets. How fantastic is my job?

Jane, checking out the displays.

Chris, checking out a short film.
Sadly, I wasn't as taken with today's films. It might have been due to the fact that it was late in the workday, as I
started to lose focus towards the end. To make matters worse, there were a bunch of loud (and possibly stoned) students
sitting behind Jane, talking and constantly kicking her chair. It sounded like they were trying to retrieve a bag of
potato chips, but the bag was somehow nested inside maybe 10 separate paper bags. Loud and annoying.

After the films, Chris and I headed back to the office
to catch the final innings of the White Sox/Red Sox game. We pulled up some chairs in Deb's office, and turned on the
TV.

Kashif and Justin joined us, as we all broke out some chips
and cups of Captain Crunch cereal.

as the Red Sox get swept.

I had forgotten that Rob was participating in an Open House today. After
work, I headed over to Justin's, as we planned to meet up with
Gretchen, grab a drink, and hang out with Rob in his studio.
I stopped by Michelle's to see what she was up to, and she
ended up joining us on our excursion.

First stop: Gelato Cafe. Gretchen was looking to do an article for Center Stage, and wanted to try out this place. Although
I didn't get any gelato at the time, I'm now kicking myself. Looking over these pictures, I may just have to go back!
Gretchen took a quick detour to drop off some gelato for Rob. In the
meanwhile, Justin, Michelle and
I went to Rainbo for a few drinks, to wait for Howard.
After a bit, we decided to head over to Rob's studio, and dove
in to the open house already in progress.

Though not all the artists in the building were participating, a good number of them were. From the street, you could
hear a great deal of commotion from inside.

Welcome!

A few of the paintings Rob didn't throw out.

He's packed a lot of things into a remarkably small space.

Group shot, hanging out in Rob's studio drinking PBR's.

After hanging out a bit, Michelle and I took to wandering around the building. The hallways were about twice as
packed as this. Moving from room to room took a lot of maneuvering.

These paintings by Man Bartlett caught my eye...

The artists do love their sauce...

This room I never fully understood. It was marked as the "Wonder Cave," and had its own private tour (complete with
tour guide).

Inside, it was pitch black save a few very small, flourescent lights. I took a quick shot with the flash, and this is
what we found.

This was another room, up on the third floor. Not sure who the artist was, but the entire room was more like an
installation piece.

This was really pretty, and a nice place to just stand and relax... away from all the other crowded rooms.

Neat stuff. Wish I knew who did this.

On leaving the building, I spotted this row of cans/bottles lining the stairwell. This probably speaks to the event
as much as any other picture.
Afterwards, we all headed over to Clubfoot for some more drinks. I hung out for a while, but ended up taking an early
leave. Tomorrow, I'm off to help Holly move, and wanted to get a decent amount of sleep beforehand.
