A ton of peanut butter, jelly, bread, and toppings galore. We made a run for milk around noon, and picked up some
extra candy/chips/toppings en route. In a moment of inspiration, Bryan and
I stopped off at McDonald's (fries for me, apple pies for him).
In back, Joe's preparing up a bit of an appetizer.
You haven't really lived until you've tasted a Peanut Butter Jelly Burrito.
Bryan's half-apple-pie and half-candybar sandwich.
My sandwich: peanut butter jelly on two Eggo waffles, with nanners and some McDonald's fries.
Hey, hey, HEY! Don't judge me.
Note for next year: the mistake I made here was choosing the chunky peanut butter. I think the peanuts were competing too much
with all the other elements.
Everyone settling back for some sugary goodness.
Chris, grilling up his Hawaiian-bread-based
sandwich on a George Foreman Grill.
More toppings.
I think this was Ned's sandwich: Bananna chips and Cheez-Its.
Is this Justin's? Looks to be some bannana chips,
coconut and carrots. Sabrina was the one who brought in a bunch of veggies (I would never have thought of this), including
bean sprouts, celery, on a sort of Thai-inspired theme. Surprisingly... those who made sandwiches with veggies (and
there were quite a few) were quite happy with them!
A little Nutella never hurt no one.
As lunch wore on, more and more folks resorted to the one-slice sandwich. Partly to save room, partly to avoid
freaking out on a suger bender.
Here's my second attempt. Originally, I purchased some Captain Crunch in the hopes of making what I called
"The Ally Sheedy." In The Breakfast Club, she made
what I believe was a PB and J sandwich that included a layer of Captain Crunch, coated with Pixie Stix.
Sadly... I couldn't find any Pixie Stix. And so this was my half-hearted attempt (I used a layer of potato chips instead).
For all the bread and jelly we purchased, we didn't even dent half of our stockpile.
