Found Art Finds Me

Yesterday, Ben borrowed my camera for a photo shoot he was working on with his boys. It felt a little weird walking around with my LaCie drive in my pocket (it’s normally tucked into my camera bag). It also felt a bit weird to not have my camera on my person…not that I saw anything in particular that I wanted to document. But I could acutely sense my inability to do so, were Iinclined.

However, on my way into work this morning… I saw something I wanted to capture. On the Southwest corner of Wells and Wacker, there was this strange, out-of-place Post-It note on the lightpole. And I couldn’t tell who it was addressed to, or what in the hell it was all about. Very mysterious. After examining it for a good minute, I vowed to come back during lunch and snap a picture.

This seems to be a rather interesting corner.

Ben was running a bit late to work, but when he arrived he throws down this yellow piece of paper onto the table. He tells everyone “I just found the weirdest note.” When I walk over, I realize he’s picked up the very thing I wanted to photograph, and saved me the trouble of having to track it down again.
