Waving
Around about 5:00 PM, I was walking to meet Rob at his new studio. A mother drove by in a car filled with three young girls – one in the passenger seat, and two in back. As the car pulled to a stop, the young girl in the back (who was maybe 4 or 5) waved at me through the side window. I crossed the street behind the car, and waved back.
As I walked by, I noticed she kept on waving and so I did the same – and kept on waving back.
I was thinking a bit about Alicia on the way over, but this encounter brought me out of my thinking and brightened up my afternoon. This was such a warming, wonderful thing to participate in – I can’t describe to you how ridiculously happy this made me.
