Chipotle Access, Human Error

First off, let me rave here a bit about how much I love the Chipotle web site. It’s been more or less the same design for years now, and I just dig it. Simple interface, elegant design, well-integrated with their branding, and playful without sacrificing the professional.

In addition to being able to fax in an order (and avoid the massively long lunch lines), we found out a while ago that you can bypass the fax altogether and just order online. Well, suffice it to say that Chris and I were marvelling at the Flash, and how smooth and tight the whole setup was. Really, a pretty great user experience overall.

Even if you’re not intending to place an order, give it a whirl. Pretty neat.

But despite the advanced technology, it couldn’t account for my sending the order to the wrong damn store. So, on arriving at the Franklin/Lake location… I discovered that my order was waiting for me some three blocks south.

User error. Gets ya every time.
