GTA + Riptide
Justin, Kent and I hung out at Kent’s for a good part of the evening. We started in on some Scotch and Irish whiskey, talked a while, and got to see several great pictures from Kent and Christine’s honeymoon. A bit later on, Kent and Justin were playing around on the Mac (looking around at movie trailers). They loaded up the new one for Once Upon A Time In Mexico.
I talked with Christine about how much I liked El Mariachi, and we fell into talking about Rodriguez as a director. We both were trying to withold judgement on this third installment, but who knows – maybe it’ll be good. I told her the story about my renting Spy Kids, and she got a kick out of the interaction I had with the Blockbuster clerk. :|
Eventually, us boys fell to the PS2, and we loaded up Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. Played around a bit, taking turns. We also tried a hand at some WWF game, but that ended fairly quickly. Instead of actually sitting down for a round of Trivial Pursuit, Kent, Justin and I wander to a nearby neighborhood bar and have a round of drinks.
All in all, I don’t think I was in a documentation sort of mood. I didn’t take any photos at the fair, and didn’t take any shots while we were out and about. After the bar, we went over to Rip Tide (which, the more I go the more I like it). I started to nod off (imagine that), and excused myself rather early. I wasn’t drinking all that much tonight, and all I got for my efforts was sleepy. I wish I would have been more energetic.
Early night. Meh.
