After work, Justin, Ben and headed over to the Shamrock for a few drinks. We talked a long while about work, and about music. Ben and Justin, I found out, are both very passionate about rhythm and percussion. Ben is all about drums; Justin is all about the interplay between bass and drums. We traded stories about how music and musical instruments influenced our lives.

Ben was sifting through the Reader, and came across several interesting shows. Damien Jurado is playing again, and it sounds like we’re all going to attend. I loved the last time I saw him play, and I can’t wait to see him again.

This was a highlight, I gotta say. Holy Heavy Metal! Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, and Yngwie Malmsteen, all on the same bill!
